Refund Policy

Last updated: June 2026

VZgate uses a milestone-based payment workflow. Funds are released to vendors only after the corresponding milestone is approved. This page explains how refunds and disputes are handled.

Before any work is delivered

If a vendor has not yet started a milestone and you decide to cancel, the unapproved milestone amount is eligible for refund review.

After a milestone is completed

Once a milestone is approved, that portion of the service fee is paid out to the vendor and is not refundable, except where the VZgate dispute team determines that the deliverable was not provided as scoped.

Raising a dispute

If you believe a milestone was not delivered as agreed, open a dispute from the milestone card in your dashboard. Our team will review messages, deliverables, scope, and marketplace rules.

Outcomes

  • Approve milestone (fund release)
  • Request rework (vendor revises and resubmits)
  • Partial refund (split based on what was actually delivered)
  • Full refund (where the milestone was not delivered)

Payment partner constraints

Refund availability, processing time, and method depend on your original payment method, country, and our supported payment partners. Some refund methods may take 5–15 business days.

What VZgate does not refund

VZgate does not refund:

  • Government fees, visa fees, school fees, or third-party fees
  • Outcomes outside the vendor's control (e.g. visa denials)
  • Disputes raised after the marketplace dispute window has closed

VZgate does not guarantee visa approvals, admission, or any government decision. Refund availability and timing may vary by country and supported payment partners.
